Professional Waxing in Tulsa, OK

SpaHub is a Tulsa waxing studio at 6539 E 31st St, just off Highway 169 between Sheridan and Memorial. We pull clients from every corner of the metro — Midtown, Brookside, Cherry Street, Riverside, downtown, the Pearl District, plus the suburbs out in Broken Arrow, Bixby, Jenks, Owasso, Sand Springs, Sapulpa, and Catoosa. The studio is roughly fifteen minutes from most parts of the city, which matters when you’re trying to slot a wax between work and the rest of your day. Free parking out front, no escalators, no mall walk, no awkward shared lobby. You park, you walk in, you get waxed, you leave smooth.

Every wax at SpaHub is performed by a licensed Oklahoma esthetician. That’s not a marketing line — it’s a legal requirement we take seriously. Our team uses hard wax for sensitive areas (Brazilian, bikini, underarms, face) because it shrink-wraps around the hair instead of gripping the skin, and strip wax for larger zones like legs, arms, back, and chest where speed matters. The hard wax we use is a low-temperature, hypoallergenic formula designed for reactive skin. If you’ve had bad waxing experiences elsewhere — lifted skin, bruising, that next-day welt situation — the technique and product combination here is specifically built to avoid all of that.

Brazilian Waxing in Tulsa

The Brazilian is our most-booked service. A standard Brazilian removes everything in the front, the labia, and the strip between the cheeks — smooth from front to back. The Bikini Full is the same minus the back strip, which is what some clients prefer. Bikini Line is a cleanup along the panty line only. If you’re newer to waxing and not sure which to book, start with a Bikini Full and see how you feel; you can always graduate to a full Brazilian on the next visit. First-time clients usually take about twenty minutes total in the room. Repeat clients are often in and out in fifteen.

We also offer Brazilian add-ons that genuinely earn their price. The Brazilian with High Frequency uses an LED-based device after the wax to calm inflammation and speed up healing — great if you tend to break out post-wax or you’re going on a beach trip the next day. The Brazilian with Hydro Jelly Mask layers a customized peel-off mask over the area to soothe, brighten, and address ingrown-prone skin. The Brazilian with Vajacial is the full spa treatment — ingrown extractions, enzyme exfoliation, and a calming mask. If you’ve been waxing for years and dealing with persistent ingrowns or hyperpigmentation, the vajacial pairing is the move.

Full Body Waxing

Beyond the Brazilian, we wax legs (full and half), full arms, full face, back, chest, stomach, butt, underarms, inner thigh, chin, neck, nape, nose, ears, lip, eyebrows, and pretty much anywhere else hair grows. The full leg wax takes about an hour and lasts three to four weeks for most people — significantly easier than shaving every other day, especially in Tulsa’s humidity from May through September. Back and chest waxes for men are common here too; we keep the room temperature and music neutral, no awkward energy.

How to Prep for a Wax

Hair needs to be at least a quarter inch long — about the length of a grain of rice. If you shaved recently, give it two to three weeks before booking. Exfoliate gently the day before with a washcloth or a mild scrub, but skip lotion the day of your appointment so the wax adheres properly. If you’re nervous or have low pain tolerance, take an over-the-counter ibuprofen about thirty minutes before you arrive. Avoid caffeine that morning — it makes your skin more sensitive. Wear loose, comfortable clothing; tight jeans right after a Brazilian is not the move.

Aftercare and Preventing Ingrowns

For the first twenty-four hours after a wax, skip hot tubs, pools, saunas, and intense workouts — sweat and friction on freshly waxed skin is how irritation starts. Avoid sun exposure on the waxed area for forty-eight hours. Starting around day three, exfoliate the area two to three times a week with a soft glove or a chemical exfoliant containing salicylic or lactic acid. This is the single biggest factor in preventing ingrown hairs. We sell a couple of esthetician-grade products at the front for this if you want a recommendation tailored to your skin.

Stick to a four-week cycle for the best results. When you wax consistently, hair grows back finer and sparser each cycle, and the appointments get faster and less uncomfortable. Most regulars say the second wax feels like maybe forty percent of the discomfort of the first. By the fifth or sixth wax, a lot of clients are scrolling their phones through the whole thing.

Booking

Book online any time at our scheduling page or call the studio. We confirm by text the day before. Twenty-four hour cancellation policy — life happens, but please give us notice so we can fill the slot.

FAQs

Questions We Get a Lot

Does a Brazilian wax hurt?

First one is the worst one — we won't lie. It's quick though, usually under 20 minutes, and it gets dramatically easier every visit after. Hair grows back finer and thinner each time. Most of our clients say the second wax is maybe 40 percent of the first-time discomfort.

How long does a Brazilian wax last?

Three to four weeks for most people. We recommend booking on a 4-week cycle to catch hair at the same stage of growth, which makes each wax smoother and longer-lasting than the last.

How long does my hair need to be before waxing?

About a quarter inch — roughly the length of a grain of rice. If you've shaved recently, wait two to three weeks before your appointment. Too short and the wax can't grab it.

Can I get a Brazilian wax on my period?

Yes. Just wear a fresh tampon or menstrual cup. Your skin is more sensitive during that week, so it may feel slightly more intense, but it's totally fine to come in.

What should I do before and after a wax?

Before: exfoliate gently the day before, skip lotion the day of, take ibuprofen 30 minutes before if you're nervous. After: no hot tubs, pools, or workouts for 24 hours. Avoid sun on the waxed area for 48 hours. Exfoliate twice a week starting 3 days after to prevent ingrowns.

Do you wax men?

Yes. We do male Brazilians, back, chest, and more. Book under Male Brazilian or the specific service you're looking for.
